In Time

I’m actually really excited about this upcoming film, and I haven’t said that in a while. It’s directed by Andrew Niccol who wrote the Truman Show (although he also wrote and directed S1m0ne).

In Time has a pretty impressive cast, everyone knows Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried by now but it also includes Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy), Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins), Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory, Matt Bomer from White Collar and Vincent Kartheiser from Mad Men.

The basic premise is that time is a commodity, thus those with money live forever and those without die young.

It’s a good concept but the film really could go either way, so many times this sort of film has been good in theory but lacked execution. Online opinion polls so far are polarising opinion but I’d loved to see some responses to the trailer.

In Time is scheduled for release in the UK on 1st November.
